For well over a century most of Loblolly Hill existed solely as a source for standing timber for Thomas & Miller Lumber Company. Most of the timber was sent on the back of horse drawn trailers to the sawmill located just five miles to the south in rural Miller, Alabama for domestic and export production. Over the years as the Miller portfolio increased, Loblolly was always seen as removed and unimportant. Little did the founders in the late 1800’s realize that one day this remoteness and privacy would make Loblolly a valuable asset indeed.
Just five years ago, the property lacked navigable roads, water, food plots, power or water.
Today, Loblolly Hill boasts 1,100 acres of exceptional hunting and timberland complete with housing, a perfect lodge site, two small ponds, one lake and nine miles of pristine roadway.
Unlike the overwhelming majority of recreational land available today, Loblolly is presented in one tract with both recreational and timber investment benefits.
